Global Factory Information Systems Engineer

As a Global Factory Information Systems Engineer at Aptiv, you will join our Global Factory Information Systems (FIS) team, supporting the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing IT solutions. FIS is Aptiv's internally developed system designed to track and monitor manufacturing processes across production sites worldwide. You will work closely with global engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable system performance, seamless integration of production equipment, and efficient manufacturing operations. Your expertise will help strengthen Aptiv's global manufacturing capabilities through innovative and reliable IT solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for Aptiv's Factory Information System, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project timelines.
• Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes to support the integration and optimization of IT solutions across production environments.
• Participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and global deployment of Factory Information System applications and functionalities.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert, supporting system operations, incident management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Coordinate system deployments across global manufacturing sites, ensuring effective implementation and operational continuity.
• Provide technical guidance to production sites regarding application functionality, system configuration, and integration capabilities.
• Support manufacturing sites in connecting and integrating new production equipment with the Factory Information System.

Your Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of experience in IT or software development, preferably working with mission-critical transactional systems processing high volumes of data.
• Strong programming skills in object-oriented languages such as C# or VB.NET.
• Experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Linux environments and Linux-based applications.
• Experience working with MariaDB or MySQL databases.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
