Last updated: August 18, 2026

RIZZUME ("RIZZUME," "we," "us," or "our") provides Job Search OS, a done-for-you job search optimisation service delivered in phases (Positioning, Proof, and Networking), along with a related website (the "Site") and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

By visiting the Site or engaging our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

1. Who We Are

RIZZUME is operated by Varun Puri, an entrepreneur based in Delhi, India. For any privacy-related questions, you can reach us using the contact details in Section 11.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what we collect automatically, and what we receive from third parties in the course of delivering the Services.

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, city.
  • Career information: resume/CV content, work history, job titles, employers, education, skills, achievements, and other professional details you share for resume, LinkedIn, and portfolio work.
  • LinkedIn account information: profile content you share with us for optimisation (we do not access your LinkedIn account directly; you provide us the content or screenshots/exports).
  • Portfolio content: case studies, work samples, images, and links you provide for your portfolio site.
  • Job search preferences: target roles, target companies, application criteria, and referral/network contacts you ask us to reach out to on your behalf.
  • Communications: messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, or through intake/kickoff forms.
  • Payment information: billing name, transaction details, and UPI/bank reference numbers. Full payment card or bank account details are collected and processed directly by our payment providers (for example Razorpay, Instamojo, UPI apps), not stored by us. See Section 5.
  • Feedback and testimonials: anything you agree to share for marketing purposes.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we (or our service providers) may automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent, referring/exit pages
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Application status or responses relayed to us by employers, recruiters, or hiring managers you or we have contacted as part of Phase 3 outreach.
  • Basic account/transaction confirmation from payment processors.

We do not knowingly collect any special category of personal data (for example health, religion, caste, sexual orientation) beyond what you voluntarily choose to include in your resume or portfolio content.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver the Services you have purchased, including writing and optimising resumes and LinkedIn profiles, building portfolio sites, submitting job applications, and conducting outreach on your behalf
  • Communicate with you about your order, deliverables, revisions, and progress (including weekly reports for Phase 3)
  • Process payments and issue invoices
  • Verify facts you have asked us to represent on your behalf before we publish or send them anywhere
  • Improve our Services, templates, and processes
  • Send you service-related updates and, where you have opted in, marketing communications
  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
  • Protect against fraud, misuse, or misrepresentation (for example, if a client asks us to publish unverifiable claims)

We do not use your career or application data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (where applicable)

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Consent: for optional items such as marketing emails or testimonials
  • Performance of a contract: to deliver the Job Search OS Services you have purchased
  • Legitimate interests: to improve our Services and protect our business
  • Legal obligation: for tax, invoicing, and accounting records

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business:

  • Payment processors (for example Razorpay, Instamojo, UPI/bank transfer providers) to process payments. They handle your payment details under their own privacy policies.
  • Productivity and delivery tools (for example Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Drive) to draft, store, and share your resume, tracker, and working documents.
  • Portfolio hosting platforms (for example Framer, Webflow, Carrd, Notion-based sites) to build and host your portfolio site.
  • Communication tools (for example WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, email providers) to communicate with you.
  • Prospective employers, recruiters, and referral contacts: as part of Phase 3, we submit applications and send outreach messages on your behalf using the resume, portfolio, and targeting criteria you have approved.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
  • Successors: if RIZZUME is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy (or a policy offering at least equivalent protections).

We do not authorise any third party to use your data for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to deliver the Services and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, tax and accounting compliance, dispute resolution, and to support future engagements (for example resume updates for repeat clients). You may request earlier deletion. See Section 8.

Job application trackers and outreach records from Phase 3 are typically retained for the duration of your engagement plus a limited period after final handover, after which they may be deleted or anonymised.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the Site functioning correctly
  • Understand how visitors use the Site (analytics)
  • Remember your preferences

You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality. We do not currently use cookies for cross-site behavioural advertising.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing (for example marketing communications) at any time
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a grievance with us, and escalate to the relevant data protection authority if unresolved

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including restricted access to client files, use of reputable third-party tools, and secure payment processing via established providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for working professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
