Data Migration (Data Architect)

Qualifications: 7+ years of database administration or database engineering experience, including production ownership of relational databases at scale. 3+ years leading or heavily contributing to database migration projects, ideally on-premises to cloud (AWS and/or Azure). Deep hands-on experience with at least one major RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and working familiarity with others. Experience with cloud database migration tooling (AWS DMS, AWS SCT, Azure Database Migration Service, or equivalent) and cloud-native database services (RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, etc.). Strong SQL skills and experience with schema conversion, data validation/reconciliation, and performance tuning pre- and post-migration. Experience planning low-downtime or near-zero-downtime cutovers (CDC/replication-based migration approaches). Track record of leading technical work streams or small teams, including setting technical direction and reviewing others' work.
